An American multi-brand, multi-channel, specialty retailer is seeking a UI Systems Engineer focused on building exceptional user experiences through advanced front-end implementation of complex interfaces, animations, and interactions. This position is a remote 6-month contract opportunity encouraging candidates residing in the US to apply. No C2C or Third-Party agencies.

UI Systems Engineer Requirements:
 
  • 5+ years of strong front-end engineering foundation with deep expertise in UI architecture and performance optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of React patterns and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Expertise in complex CSS animations, transitions, and responsive design implementation.
  • Experience with iOS development in SwiftUI or UIKit.
  • Experience building and maintaining design system components at scale.
  • Understanding of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.

UI Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Focus on translating sophisticated design concepts into high-performance, production-ready code.
  • Implement complex UI components and interaction patterns that maintain design fidelity while meeting performance requirements.
  • Architect and develop reusable animation systems and transition frameworks that scale across our products.
  • Partner with UX Design Engineer and designers to evolve technical approaches for implementing advanced interface concepts.
  • Build and maintain core UI infrastructure components that enable consistent, high- quality user experiences.
  • Establish best practices for performance optimization in animation and interactive elements.
  • Provide technical leadership in front-end architecture decisions, particularly around UI performance and interaction complexity.
